The Erika’s Lighthouse Young Adult Board (YAB)  is composed of post-college members who host activities to raise funds and awareness about teen depression and mental health among their peers.  While Erika’s Lighthouse is based out of Chicago, we invite members from across the country to participate. Our Young Adult Board provides a way to reach out to this age group through their peers. It provides a platform for young philanthropists to learn more about the mission of our nonprofit, learn more about philanthropy in general, and become ambassadors for our organization.

Our YAB members create and manage some fundraising events, make personal donations, and volunteer, all while networking with other young professionals and making new friends. Their involvement helps to raise awareness of our mission and introduces our organization to a new group of supporters. Being a member enables a young professional to learn how to work on a board and prepare for experiences in governance, with a great bonus of it being a wonderful resume enhancer.
