Join us in support of Erika’s Lighthouse this holiday season!

Adolescent depression lives in the shadows. Young people facing it feel isolated and dangerously alone. Erika’s Lighthouse helps schools provide their students with the skills needed to talk to each other, to their parents, to their teachers, and to counselors. Our resources raise awareness, reduce stigma, educate students, promote good mental health, and encourage help-seeking.

On December 2nd and 3rd, Erika’s Lighthouse will partner with elliestyled, Flower House and Farm, Ozmun Home, and Laughlin Gallery for a maker’s market to benefit Erika’s Lighthouse. The market will occur from 10-4 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd and 3rd in Highland Park, Illinois. Vendors will be set up throughout the Atelier by elliestyled (1900 Sheridan Road), Ozmun Home (1898 Sheridan Road) and Laughlin Gallery (1894 Sheridan Road).

Market guests can work on their holiday shopping list by visiting local vendors, tasting food and drink, and giving back to Erika’s Lighthouse while doing so. A portion of proceeds from the market will be donated to Erika’s Lighthouse to support mental health education programs in schools.

Stop by the Erika’s Lighthouse table at the Laughlin Gallery to learn more about Erika’s Lighthouse programs and ways to get involved. Hear more about Erika’s Lighthouse four-pillar approach to creating inclusive school communities around mental health through classroom education, empowerment clubs, family engagement, and policy & staff training. Our free, easy-to-use, and accessible classroom education programs put the students at the center, talking to them in a language they understand. Our Empowerment Clubs empower students to change the world. We provide all the tools to help set up Empowerment Clubs, peer-led campaigns, and fundraisers in a school community. Relaunched in 2023, our Family Engagement Resources aim to equip schools to better interact with students and their families. We have designed information, resources, workshops, and more. Finally, we have developed videos, staff training, frameworks, templates, best practices, and more to align school policies & staff around mental health.

All of these resources are offered entirely free of cost to school communities. Last year Erika’s Lighthouse reached over 530,000 students in over 2,000 schools around the country. We hope you will join us to hear how you can get involved with Erika’s Lighthouse and help us continue to promote Erika’s Lighthouse programs to school communities and deepen our engagement within school communities already using one or more of our pillars of programming.

Gather your friends and join us to support youth mental health locally and across the country by shopping to benefit Erika’s Lighthouse on December 2nd and 3rd.
